Why is Everest so high?

The summit of Mount Everest, the highest peak in the world, is located on the edge of Tibet, on the Indian subcontinent.

This means the mountain is subject to extreme heat, drought, avalanches and snowfall, but also has many beautiful views.

The world’s tallest mountain is also home to some of the highest glaciers on Earth.

But while it’s been named after the Tibetan Buddhist god of wisdom, it’s also known for a myriad of otherworldly things.
