Canadiens forward Dominik Hasek misses second straight game with upper-body injury

The Canadiens have recalled forward Dominick Haseko from the Montreal Canadiens of the American Hockey League (AHL) and assigned defenseman Kevin Fiala to the team’s AHL affiliate, the Bridgeport Sound Tigers.

Haseko, 21, has not played in a game this season.

The 6-foot-3, 200-pound forward has two goals and three assists in 13 games with the Canadiens this season, ranking tied for third among all NHL defensemen in scoring.

Haseke is third on the team with a plus-10 rating and second among defensemen with 16 power-play points.

The 6-4, 202-pound defenseman is a first-round pick (No. 32) by the New York Islanders in the 2013 NHL Draft.

Hauseko was drafted by the Islanders in 2013.

Hakeko is a second-team NHL All-Rookie in 2014-15 and the third-team all-Rookies pick in 2015-16.

The Canadiens (14-9-4) have a six-game road trip ahead before returning to Toronto on Saturday.

They play the Carolina Hurricanes on Saturday and the Philadelphia Flyers on Sunday.
